Week of January 10th

Following up a lazy weekend with her first vaccinations means very few Harper photos for a few days. I don't want to put her through the posing for a couple of days.

January 7

Today we chilled out around the house until it was time to take Josh to the doctor. He was having a mole excised and Harper got to meet the doctor who saved Josh's life by finding his cancer so early 10 years ago.

Today I worked in my closet. I've been out of the maternity clothes for quite a while but I hadn't properly unpacked my boxes of normal clothes. I'm not quite done getting everything organized but I need my closet to work even harder for me once I return to work in February. I was lucky that Harper was so cooperative for me today. Tonight we had our weekly dinner with our dearest friends and Harper's matching pants didn't last the night. That's alright, she's a baby.

January 5

We had a long day going to visit Dad at work and then running errands. We were not ready for our close up. I've read about how easy it is to overstimulate your child at this age and tonight Harper was just ready to chill out and hug.

January 4

We picked up these tutu pants yesterday. I think they are adorable, especially with her bear onesie. I had to work up something for my office today and it made me painfully aware of how little time we have left before we're not together like this.

January 3

Harper and I were out and about today. It is much nicer out there now that the holiday rush is over. We managed to pick up about all the sun hats she is going to need for this summer. That is my optimism about all the summer adventures we'll be having!

January 2

It is going to be a long time before Harper does things like look intentionally at the camera. I had to ignore the timer because she was talking and smiling at me in this moment, turns out it made for a great photo.
